Toledo, OH – Forward Luke Nogard has been added to the Toledo Walleye roster on an amateur tryout agreement. The Walleye are in Quad City tonight.
Nogard just finished his best season at the University of Nebraska-Omaha by appearing in 35 games with nine goals, four assists, 13 points and 26 penalty minutes. Over four seasons for the Mavericks, the 24-year-old skated in 114 games with 10 goals, 13 assists and 102 penalty minutes. In each of the last three years, Nogard has been on the NCHC All-Academic team.
The native of Ancaster, Ontario appeared in at least 25 games a season for Nebraska-Omaha. Prior to his college career, he spent two years playing junior hockey in the BCHL with Powell dressing in 110 games with 32 goals, 32 assists and 185 penalty minutes.
