(Toledo, OH) – Defenseman Jared Nightingale has been loaned to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Toledo’s team captain is currently the team leader in penalty minutes with 42 penalty minutes. An assist in Sunday’s 5-4 win at Alaska gave Nightingale 100 career points (23G, 77A). In two plus seasons with the Walleye, he has 155 penalty minutes with 15 points (3G, 12A) over 84 contests.
Since turning professional in 2006, Nightingale has collected 971 penalty minutes along with 58 points (16G, 42A) in 460 games in the American Hockey League. This past season he skated in 31 games for the Chicago Wolves scoring twice with four assists. Nightingale has played for Chicago, Norfolk, Hartford, Grand Rapids, Milwaukee, Syracuse, Springfield, Iowa, Connecticut and Rockford of the American Hockey League in his career.
The 6’3”, 205 pound defenseman has 198 career ECHL contests with 42 points (7G, 35A) and 521 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro he played his college hockey for Michigan State from 2002-2006 and was an Assistant Captain in his Junior and Senior seasons. Nightingale was a plus 14 for the Spartans.
Toledo finishes up its six game road trip with games Friday and Saturday at Utah. Chicago is home this weekend on Saturday vs. Cleveland and Sunday hosting Rockford.
