Congratulations to Jared Coreau, the former Walleye goaltender who made his NHL debut with the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday. He becomes the 14th player to have played with the Walleye and go on to appear in the NHL.
Coreau was between the pipes in a 5-3 loss at Pitttsburgh, making 32 saves on 36 shots.
During the 2013-14 season, Coreau played in 20 games with Toledo, compiling a record of 1-12-6 with a 4.03 GAA and a .879 save percentage. During the 2014-15 season, he played in 8 games with the Walleye, with a record of 5-2-0, a 3.01 GAA and a .897 save percentage.
