Week in Review: Toledo scored with less than a minute left in the third period Friday night to tie Fort Wayne and send the game to overtime. The Walleye collected a point as the Komets won the game 5-4. Despite Martin Frk scoring two goals Sunday evening, the Walleye were downed by Reading 5-4 at the Huntington Center.
Power Play Leading the Way: The Walleye power play has collected 10 goals in 47 chances (21.3%) so far this season. Only Stockton (25.5%) and South Carolina (21.6%) have better percentages than Toledo in the ECHL. Forward Scott Arnold leads the Walleye with 4 power play goals scored.
Gametime: Toledo will play only one game this week as they host Evansville on Saturday night. The IceMen defeated Toledo in Evansville 2-1 on November 3rd in the only meeting between the two this season.
Promotions: Saturday is “Safety Day” with the Toledo Walleye! Prior to the Walleye game, it is the annual “Battle of the Badges” game as the Toledo Police Department takes on the Toledo Fire Department! Tickets are just $13.00 with a portion being donated to benefit Police and Fire Department charities!
