Game five to the Royals: Brandon Alderson picked up a hat trick in Friday's game five to lead the Royals to a 5-3 win.
Dominating last two periods: After a first period that saw the two teams even in shots (6), Toledo took off and out shot the Royals 31-14 over the last two periods and set a series high with 37 shots on goal.
The race to score first: The series has been owned by whichever team has scored first. In every game, the first goal has predicted the winner of that game (5-0).
Spink to the top of the standings: Forward Tylor Spink picked up a pair of assists in game five and now leads the Walleye in scoring with seven points (2G, 5A) in five contests. The first year forward has at least one point in four of the five games played in the series and ranks second among all ECHL players in scoring.
Facing Elimination: Toledo is on the brink going into today's game six. Since becoming the Walleye in 2009-10, Toledo has faced a season ending game ten times and holds a record of 7-3 in such games.
