Forward Philippe Lefebvre (LA-fabe) has been reassigned by the Chicago Blackhawks of the NHL to Toledo from the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. In addition, goaltender Mac Carruth has been assigned to Rockford by Chciago. In separate moves, Toledo has released forward Tyler Pilmore and defenseman Dan Weiss. Goaltender Matt Cooper has been added to the roster as an emergency backup. Cooper was a member of the Toledo Walleye free-agent camp this summer.
Lefebvre joins Toledo after starting the season with Cincinnati in the ECHL. The 22 year old forward had two goals and five assists in nine games this year with the Cyclones. Last year, the native of Trois-Rivieres, PQ, split time between Hamilton in the AHL and Wheeling of the ECHL with a total of 12 goals and 11 assists in 51 contests.
Carruth has appeared in eight games this year with Toledo, posting a record of 4-3-0-0, a 2.50 goals against average and a .927 save percentage. Pilmore skated in five games this year with the Walleye, collecting no points and two penalty minutes. In eight games with Toledo, Weiss collected 14 penalty minutes and no points.
