Walleye sign experienced forward

Toledo, OH – Forward Darian Dziurzynski (dur-zin-ski) has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2017-18 season. In a separate transaction, forward Alex Foster has been released.
Dziurzynski, a native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, joins the Walleye after playing in Europe last year for Manchester in the EIHL. In 50 contests, the 26-year-old posted 29 goals with 23 assists for 52 points and 68 penalty minutes. Over his career, Dziurzynski has skated in 184 games at the AHL level, most notably with Portland for three straight years from 2012-2015, with 321 penalty minutes to go along with 27 goals and 17 helpers.
New faces bring ECHL experience to Toledo

The 2017-18 Toledo Walleye roster features plenty of ‘new faces’ to T-Town, but with that comes plenty of ECHL experience.
Among the newcomers is defenseman Davis Vandane, who played last season with Elmira.
“I’m excited because the guys who played here before have nothing but good things to say about Toledo,” says Vandane. “Now that I’m here, it’s even more of an eye opener. I can’t wait to get things going.”

Familiar foe now in net for the Walleye

The pop culture phrase ’worlds collided’ applied to goalie Pat Nagle’s first day at Toledo Walleye training camp. For the first time, the former Ft. Wayne Komets netminder was wearing a Walleye jersey at the Huntington Center, while his mask still bears the Komets’ colors.

Denis ready for Red Wings training camp 2

With his first full year of professional hockey under his belt, Simon Denis is refreshed and ready to suit up with Walleye forwards Conner Crisp and Austen Brassard at the Detroit Red Wings training camp, taking place today through Monday in Traverse City, Michigan.
